Guy Mitchell Update
Guy is still on the mend from surgery earlier this year. He is at the Brentwood Rehab Facility at 5400 West 87th St in Burbank. He would appreciate visitors.
End of the year outing set
The end of the year outing is set for October 23rd at Woodruff Golf Course.
New Points game!
The new game is taken from another game known as "Quota" and is similar to "Chicago".
The points given for each hole are:
Bogey = 1, Par = 2, Birdie = 4, Eagle = 6.
Your initial point total will be established from your first two rounds.
The better players have a higher total.
On the third week of play, the point gain above your total will determine your share of the pot.
Example: If Mark's previous point total was 17, and he got 19 points this week, then he gets a share of the winnings. If no other players beats their own previous total, then Mark would receive the whole pot. If Steve had a previous point total of 2, and got a 3 this week, then Mark would get two thirds and Steve would get one third. If 10 golfers all got one point better, then the pot would get split 10 ways.
If there are no winners, the pot will rollover. No blind draws.
After the initial establishment of your point total (first 2 weeks), your points total may change weekly.
If your score is worse than last week's, it will be reduced by the difference (up to 2 points max).
If your score is better, your total will increase by one half of the gain (no limit).
Any fractions will be rounded down.
In the above example, Mark's new point total for next week would be 18 and Steve's would stay at 2.
When splitting up the pot, any winnings will be rounded down to the nearest dollar.
The usual "skins" game is on for the first two weeks.
After the second week, players without a point total do not have to pay the $5 until they play the 2 rounds it takes to get an average.
